KAYALI was founded in Dubai in 2018 by beauty entrepreneur Mona Kattan, sister and co-founder of Huda Beauty. The name translates to ‘my imagination’ in Arabic, and the brand draws directly on Mona’s Middle Eastern heritage — in particular, the region’s rich tradition of layering scents to build a personal, ever-changing fragrance identity.

Before launching KAYALI, Mona spent years building a personal collection of thousands of perfumes and studying the ritual of blending oud, perfume oils and bakhoor. That obsession shaped the brand’s philosophy: rather than a single signature scent, KAYALI encourages layering different fragrances together to create something unique. Working with renowned perfumers and premium ingredients, the brand has become known for its addictive, gourmand-leaning compositions and jewel-toned bottles, quickly establishing itself as one of the most talked-about names in modern fragrance.
